Volunteer
Indianapolis’ animal welfare community relies on volunteers to provide tens of thousands of hours a year performing hands-on care, administrative support, volunteer staffing and hundreds of other duties.

There are dozens of opportunities for people with various types of professional experience to work with the Allies and our Participating Organizations. Donate supplies to our Participating Organizations
Collecting supplies for Participating Organizations provides an easy and truly meaningful way you can help the shelters and rescue groups continue their important work. Many of our Participating Organizations need donations of supplies, equipment and services to help them maximize the care they provide for their animals. Some ideas to consider:

• Organize a team of friends or co-workers to collect and deliver all of the items on a particular Participating Organization’s wish list.

• Perhaps you have access to particular supplies that are needed by multiple Participating Organizations such as clean or used linens, cat litter or dog food. Identify several Participating Organizations and donate the supplies to each one.

• Post a list of items you'd like to collect for a Participating Organization on your apartment building or office bulletin board. Generate enthusiasm among your neighbors, co-workers and friends to help support the animals.
